Following his 4-goal performance away at Chadderton today’s Man of The Match spoke to the club to give us his thoughts on the game.
DJ Pedro: “Thought it was a brilliant game and not just in term of individual performance. It was brilliant from the lads they dug in from minute 1 to 90 and it was great to finally put two halves together, I’m obviously delighted for myself, but it was brilliant from the lads, and it was a big game as well so it’s good to get the three points.”
DJ then told us about how important tonight 3 points were as we head into another title rival fight against Ramsbottom with him saying “Massive, absolutely massive we spoke about how important these two games coming up are and in the last couple of weeks we haven’t got the results so we needed to put our hearts out there tonight and that’s all that matters and we’ll keep doing that for the next game and then the next game and the game after that.”
He then spoke about how good it was to score 4 tonight after missing out on a goal against Irlam, he said: “It doesn’t as I’m always hungry for more and to get more you’ve got to give more, and I’ll always give as much as I can, and I’ll give everything I can every single time.”
DJ than gave his thoughts on the travelling fans after another good away showing, he said: “I want to say thank you to all the supporters that came today it was phenomenal even when we came out to line up before the first whistle it was great to see everyone there. It always makes you play better as well with support like that.”
To finish the interview, he then looked ahead to the boxing day game vs Ramsbottom with him saying “It’s going to be a tough game obviously, so we need to stick to how were going to play and stick to our morals and take on all the information from the gaffer and the assistants as well as the older lads and the newer lads who have joined as well so there’s plenty of experience in the dressing room so us young lads can just soak all that experience up and do our best.”
