After a 1-1 draw to Charnock Richard midfielder Cam Fogerty spoke to club media about the game.
Cam Fogerty: “Being brutally honest first half we were shocking we made them look like Barcelona, our pressing was all off we had a few words at half time and then the second half I think we were unbelievable we had a few cleared off the line and a couple of rash shots but yeah if you looked at the chances we probably deserved to win but the first half was terrible from us.”
He than spoke about the contrast of the second half performance in comparison to the first half saying “It’s happened a few times this season and the gaffers just said it than rightfully so and I don’t know what it is whether it’s a mindset thing because we start so slow or we’ve started so slow in some games and it’s taken a word a half time for us to turn it on and show a bit of passion a bit of energy and personally I’m out there and I don’t know what it is and I can’t put my finger on it to be perfectly honest with you but it needs to stop and I know were 20 unbeaten in the league but there is too many draws.”
Cam than spoke about tonight’s missed opportunity to cut the points gap down on Ramsbottom saying “Yeah it’s still in our hands if we win all three of our games in hand we go five points clear and we still have to play them here on boxing day and you’ve got to try and take the positives from that but at the end of the day its two points dropped again and we did the same last week so I think that’s eight draws now in the league and it’s a lot and we’re not even halfway through the league games yet.”
Cam finished the interview by looking ahead to the game against Longbridge on Saturday.
Cam Fogerty: “Well to be fair I thought Longbridge were quite good at their place they had three penalties and they were quite unlucky to be honest it wasn’t a 5-1 game so if they turn up and do that again on Saturday we need to be at our best and we can’t start the game the way we started tonight.”
